Venice Todd Green "Betty", of Savannah and Atlanta died August 31, 2011 at Candler Hospital. She was born on August 27, 1916 to Edward Hines Todd and Venice Nunez Todd. She was predeceased by her sister Lola Todd Bullock and brother Edward Hines Todd, Jr.
She worked for Southern Bell later BellSouth for forty-five years and was on the switchboard the day Pearl Harbor was hit. She was known for her sunny disposition and good looks. She was a Democrat but would let you be what you wanted.
In 1936, she married George Williams Green for his free-thinking personality, and they had one child, Bonnie, who survives her. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Marie Butler Todd, nieces and nephews, Edward Hines Todd, III, Linda Todd Greenway, John Randolph Randy Todd, Jacqueline Jackie Todd Walker, Michael Edward Todd, Harold Todd Bullock, and Thelma Gene Bullock Piland.
Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2011 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Director, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Service will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2011 at Bonaventure Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of Betty's passing. Almost went to visit her yesterday and found out today she had passed away. She was always so happy to see me when I went to visit. Just recently moved to Svah. and was planning to spend a lot of time with her. She was one in a million and will truly be missed.
